7 Things You Must Do If You Want To Make That Perfect Camera Shot
September 30, 2007
Saturate yourself with your subject and the camera will all but take you by the hand. Margaret Bourke-WhiteThese tips should help you relive those moments back where you’ve said “if only I had a camera.” Now you will have it captured on film. These tips should help you to be camera ready.
1. Get as close as you can to the subject or action
Remember, if you’re using a instant camera a lot of them have a minimum shooting distance. This is usually about two metres. If your closer than that, your shots will be out of focus. Try to take shots with the viewer focused on the subject. Meaning the closer to the subject filling the viewer the better.
2. Photos Tell A Story
Photos of an event or activity such as camping with a group or fishing trip with family and friends tells a great story for all to relive and enjoy.
3. Decide What It Is You Want and Don’t Want in The Picture
Its best to keep the background as uncluttered as you can. Background clutter will remove the focus from your subject.
4. Take Surprise Shots
Identifying US Coins with Bullish Futures
September 29, 2007
Okay, let’s get something straight? I do not advocate the purchase of United States coins strictly for investment purposes. Like most traditional collectors, I believe coins are to be primarily appreciated for their artistic beauty, historical connections, and the joy of pursuing them. However, it should be no secret that a significant number of us do add to our numismatic holdings while simultaneously peeking at the payback angle, too.
In truth, there are probably substantial numbers of traditional collectors who prefer to acquire coins destined to increase in esteem and value over time; treasured heirlooms and a source of pride to be passed from one generation to the next. On the flip side of this equation, it seems implausible that anyone would buy a coin with the hope or expectation to see it stagnate or decrease in value. Indeed, any commentator who suggests the words "investment" and "coins" should never appear in close proximity to one another is ignoring a heavily populated segment of our hobby.
Now that we’ve established that it’s not numismatic heresy to seek coins with strong upside possibilities, let’s get down to basics. The guiding principle is simple: Any coin that has demonstrated solid, consistent gains over a long period of time is likely to show continued growth in the years ahead. Easily said, but as we shall soon see, not so easily put into practice.
For Thanksgiving ? Be Thankful He?s Not the Cheating Kind
September 28, 2007
Infidelity is at an all time high. According to the latest statistics, 3 out of 4 husbands cheat on their wives. So if you have a faithful husband, you have much to be thankful for. Faithful husbands are in short supply. While most wives assume their husbands are faithful, only 1 wife in 4 can truthfully make that claim. An estimated 38 to 53 million women are victims of infidelity. Studies further indicate that 2/3 of the wives whose husbands are cheating on them (approximately 26 million women) have no idea their husbands are having an affair — despite the presence of numerous telltale signs. In one study, over 65% of the cheating husbands admitted to having had more than one extramarital affair. With statistics like these, you can see why being married to a husband who isn’t cheating on you is something to be thankful for.
A Rude Awakening
Infidelity now affects 80% of all marriages today. Each year countless women who never dreamed their husbands were cheating, are shocked when their husbands ask for a divorce or simply move in with another woman. Other wives are dumbfounded to find that family funds have been used to finance a cheating husband’s extramarital affair. Still other wives experience a rude awakening when they learn they’ve contracted a sexually transmitted disease.
How to Use Feathers and Dried Flowers to Give Your Scrapbooks an Artistic Feel
September 27, 2007
Feathers make exotic and interesting embellishments and borders. Feathers add an air of softness. Feathers may be useful in scrapbooks with a freedom, peace, or quiet theme. However, colored or exotic feathers may add a touch of adventure or a feeling of a far away land to a scrapbook page.
When gluing feathers, place a thin line of glue along the center of the feather. Alternately, use embroidery cotton to tie the feather in place.
Keep in mind, however, that feathers are not acid free. This will reduce the life of your scrapbook page.
Dried flowers make elegant embellishments and accents in scrapbooks. Flowers can be placed whole, in bunches with other flowers, as petals, or punched into various shapes. Flowers can be used to add a homey touch to photographs or to draw the eye away from cluttered scrapbooks. Flowers can also be used to add to an outdoor or elegant theme.
When gluing flowers, place a thin line of glue along the stem or directly on each petal. Alternately, use embroidery cotton to tie the flower or a bunch of flowers into the appropriate place on your scrapbook.

Puzzle Pieces, Sequins, and Rhine Stones in Your Scrapbooks
September 26, 2007
Puzzle pieces make playful embellishments and borders. Puzzle pieces give a creative and playful look to children’s art and educational scrapbooks.
Since, the bottom of the puzzle pieces is flat, gluing and placing puzzle pieces is simple. Be aware, however, that puzzle pieces are generally not lignin free and acid free. This could drastically reduce the life of your scrapbook page.
Sequins can add a creative flair and a dash of color to scrapbook pages as embellishments. If placed randomly in a variety of colors, sequins cause a dramatic, abstract, playful attraction to items and pages. This might be good for a young adult or college student scrapbook.
However, if the sequins are placed in specific patterns and colors the effects can be elegant and dainty. This might be appropriate for scrapbooks for older individuals.
Simply glue and place individual sequins using tweezers.
Sequins come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Sequins are available at any local craft store.
Body art rhinestones can also be added to embellish scrapbook pages in a creative and colorful way. Rhinestones add color and shine to your scrapbook pages making any dull page more exciting.
9 Fantastic Formulas for a Stress Free Holiday!
September 25, 2007
The holidays are officially here. And so the season for giving begins. Warm loving intentions, thoughtful giving and stocking stuffing take over.
It’s a wonderful time of year, but with all the activities, excitement and family obligations taking place at the same time, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed and even a tad bit gloomy. Here are 9 simple steps to relax, let go and really enjoy a truly happy holiday!
1. Reflect on what an inspiration you are to others. The time you spend, the love you give and the enthusiasm with which you do it all with is what matters most to people close to you. The beautifully wrapped presents and bows are far less important than your loving friendship. You are appreciated and cherished in the lives of so many people. Love yourself with the same appreciation.
2. Be honest with yourself and don’t stuff your feelings. As you start to feel range of emotions this holiday? whether it is joy or fear? frustration or liberation?Don’t push them away like last season’s Prada bag. Give them a special place. It will be far easier to enjoy the holiday if you are honest with yourself and experience all the good, bad and normal parts of life. Be as accepting and generous with yourself as you are with the people in your life you care about the most.
10 MORE Ways to Make Money with Your Digital Cameras
September 24, 2007
1. Pet photos - advertise a Pet Photography business where you photograph pets with their owners. Most owners won’t struggle to take a photograph with their pet all by themselves. You can be the one who makes it easy on them. Not only can you charge for the service and your time, but you can offer the photograph in it’s digital form or as a print that you can mail to them later - either created by your own photo printer or by a photo processing service.
2. Fishing contests - be around at the end of a fishing contest to take photographs of the contestants that didn’t even think about bringing a camera. Most fishermen are more concerned about fishing than carrying cameras, and most fisherman also want a picture of their stringer full of fish or the big one that they’re going to have mounted.
3. Parades - be in position to get great shots of folks and floats in the parade and sell the prints back to the individuals or to their family members. The folks who take part in the parades are often way to busy to take pictures before or after, so someone who captures them in action might really be doing them a favor - and a profitable service.
Ribbons and Lace, Embroidery Cotton, and Hemp to Spice Up Your Scrapbooks
September 23, 2007
Ribbon and lace are by far the most common, and most beautiful, border embellishment. The flowing nature of both materials encourages a touch of softness and elegance. Ribbon and lace are especially popular in gift and memory scrapbooks.
Moreover, ribbon is easy to glue and attach. Lace requires a bit more patience.
For an interesting change from ribbon and lace, try using jute or raffia.
Embroidery cotton can be used in a number of interesting scrapbooking ways. Individual fibers can be used to highlight focus items or used to add dimension to artwork or drawings.
Embroidery fibers can also be twisted or braided for use in artwork or as imaginative borders. Moreover, embroidery cotton can even be used as to tie down other items in a beautiful and creative way.
Hemp can be used for a number of purposes in scrapbooking. Single, twisted, or braided fibers can be used to accentuate focus objects, as picture frames, or along the edges of the scrapbook page as borders. Hemp looks especially good in western themed scrapbooks. However, hemp can also be used to make a scrapbook appear more masculine.
Lifes Too Short
September 22, 2007
Time goes by to quickly to hold your feelings inside Especially when their so strong even if they don’t abide…
By all the accepted rules most people live by because this one time in your life You should not wonder why?
Why you didn’t act on what you felt in your heart when no one could change it since the very start…
The first time I saw you and our eyes connected I knew my life would be dramatically effected…
I do not regret our choices nor do I feel unworthy of your love and affection that makes me sincerely…
Elated and alive in ways I never knew I could begin to feel that are so truly…
Breathtaking and consuming in my every day life with blissful power that cuts like a knife…
Right into my soul and touches my heart In such a positive mode it tears me apart…
To think of my world without you in it tomorrow or ten years from now you fit…
With me like a glove glued to my body holding me together in a way that’s oddly…
